About the Studio
St. Croix Valley School of Ballroom and Social Dance is owned by Nancy Sukowatey. Nancys interest in dance began in 1976 when she took her first ballroom class at the University of Minnesota. It soon became her life as she decided to undergo training at Arthur Murray to become a teacher. She taught for five years and was then promoted to manager and studio director in downtown Minneapolis. She stayed with Arthur Murray for a total of ten years. During this time she competed locally and nationally in the Pro/Am and Professional catetegories and performed at shows across the Twin City area. In 1986 Nancy moved to Wisconsin and decided to open an independant studio where she has been teaching for the last 20 years.
She has won numerous awards for her achievements in dance.
We offer both private and group lessons. Classes are available for all age/experience levels and are designed to fit the students needs. Styles offered are all types of ballroom and social dances (swing, waltz, foxtrot, tango, etc), latin dances (salsa, cha cha, rumba, etc), niteclub, country and old time dancing.
